A few days ago, Jeff noticed that all the Ortlings were wearing red. We thought it was the perfect time for some pictures :)! They are so fun, and I love that we captured Jacob's "smirk"! You can probably tell that Dad was in the background cracking them up! (that happens so often - I'm so grateful) That day Kara instinctively rode the rocking horse side saddle while wearing her new long skirt :)... it was super lady like and of course, very cute!

My high school was doing the production, The Wizard of Oz, on Saturday. It was very well done with elaborate costumes and set. The first few pictures are of the walkway into the school. The witches legs in a huge tornado and farm scenerye. Inside the concession area was the little playhouse for the kids to enjoy. They even had a tea with the characters before the matinee we attended (we didn't make it for that, but still had a wonderful time). Kara's favorite characters were Dorothy and Toto (little toto had already shed her costume when we got to her for a photo :). What a neat opportunity to be here while they had this performance (side note: I had been the student director of the Wizard of Oz my senior year, so it was super special to see it done again)!!!!

Breakfast time with Dakota.
Simon loves Grandmother's cane/horsey!
Uncle Scott gives HUGE surprises!
Kara and Simon and I are spending a couple of weeks spreading cheer to the Corbitts in Mississippi :)! Uncle Dave, Aunt Stacey, Forrest, and Dakota came from Roanoke for a long weekend, and there has been lots of fun family time! We even spent some time yesterday celebrating grandmother's 93rd birthday!
