I sit at our desk at camp overlooking a gorgeous mountain range and think of what a great spot to be stuck inside :) . . . Glad I'm not staring at a brick wall as I wait for page after page of our camper Bible book to fall out of the printer! High school campers have inundated camp this week (including our Kim) to try out all the new fun as the first campers of the season. This afternoon they had endless competitions in our new mudpit and tonight they are having free swim and trying out the zipline that crosses over the swim area to the other side of the lake. Jeff has been super busy already running the camp store and waterfront, as well as, leading a missions' emphasis session and game focusing on Africa. I've loved hearing all the fun and did have to take a quick break to watch the muddy fun and have been thankful that my mom arrived to play the role she does SO well, Gran! We put her to work, right away, entertaining Ortlings. Our church is holding their VBS this week, so she took them there this morning. They all decided to stay in town at our house tonight for a sleepover. Probably a good night to do that since campers will be up until all hours running around camp in a Mission Impossible game. (maybe Hazel should have gone, too - she probably won't sleep a wink, hearing people creeping around outside) Extra Camp Promise staff begin arriving on Saturday and our training begins on Sunday evening. Campers come on Tuesday after lunch! We love camp! Praying the printer speeds up and that we remember to do everything on our lists :)!!!

Snuggle moments with Lucy and Madison :)!

Mema purchased some VERY entertaining bubble wands for the kiddos' reward for surviving the endless family pictures :)! We were super thankful for Uncle Dennis and Aunt Maricia's hospitality for all of us staying with them and hosting the party, too! There were MANY sweet moments for bonding during the weekend :)!

Pickup games of football and muscles at work giving Kara a chariot ride (Simon was quite concerned for her, but she LOVED it) . . . we were grateful for a pool in which to cool off! Kara also loved getting to know, Gracie (so nice to find a girl to play with amidst so many BOYS). Keith and Jacob thought little Madison was a hoot! I didn't get any pictures, but we also had a fun time seeing Derek (right side chariot carrier) play a scrimmage football game. Kara was enamored by the cheerleaders and was amazed by Derek :)!

We also went to rinse the sand off at a fun fountain!

We had a few hours to visit the warm beach at Vero Beach, FL. Our poor MT friends suffered through 50 degree highs with rain while we enjoyed this. We did have to limit the shells we brought home to 10 a piece since we only packed in carry-on luggage (large pieces of coral were not acceptable :).

At the end of May, we had a super time celebrating Jeff's Gram's 90th birthday in Florida. What a treasure to spend priceless moments with extended family and especially these great grandparents. Gram was surprised by many who ventured down to "party" with her. Even her youngest little granddaughter, Lucy, came to meet her :)!

I'll have to catch up on our wonderful FL trip for Gram Gano's 90th birthday later. But between a computer crash and preparing to move to camp (tomorrow), I'll have to catch up in a few weeks! I did want to jump ahead, though, to show you all the sweet new "big sister" that joined our family through foster care a couple of weeks ago. Kim has been a sweet addition to our family, and everyone enjoys playing cards, riding bikes, shooting hoops, even doing chores with Kim :)! Kara, especially, is enjoying this kind big sister to shadow!
