The day before Gran and Uncle Scott headed back to Mississippi, we had a special day to celebrate! Keith turned "10" on the 19th of January!!! It was a full day of fun as we had lunch at school with the boys, where they enlisted Uncle Scott's help to move a "grandpa snowball". It was frozen to the ground, however, so even Uncle Scott couldn't make it budge. We had enjoyed some cheesecake at a Pheasant Feed with friends the night before, so we ended the day going out to eat for dinner.

Pheasants eat cheesecake?

He!He! A friend who's husband is a hunting guide in SD gave us 10 pheasants to bring home. I assigned several friends to cook a couple of birds each, then we all reconvened for a "pheasant feed" :). I thought this would be a good introduction of the Montana hunting lifestyle for my older brother. He contributed dessert to the event - chocolate chip cookies & cheesecake (Keith's favorite). He also thought I needed roses :) - what a sweet big brother, huh!!

Sweet, yes! And Keith is a smart boy. I'm not crazy about "regular" cake, which is good now that I'm gluten-free! Cheesecake is a favorite, though!!!
