I sit at our desk at camp overlooking a gorgeous mountain range and think of what a great spot to be stuck inside :) . . . Glad I'm not staring at a brick wall as I wait for page after page of our camper Bible book to fall out of the printer! High school campers have inundated camp this week (including our Kim) to try out all the new fun as the first campers of the season. This afternoon they had endless competitions in our new mudpit and tonight they are having free swim and trying out the zipline that crosses over the swim area to the other side of the lake. Jeff has been super busy already running the camp store and waterfront, as well as, leading a missions' emphasis session and game focusing on Africa. I've loved hearing all the fun and did have to take a quick break to watch the muddy fun and have been thankful that my mom arrived to play the role she does SO well, Gran! We put her to work, right away, entertaining Ortlings. Our church is holding their VBS this week, so she took them there this morning. They all decided to stay in town at our house tonight for a sleepover. Probably a good night to do that since campers will be up until all hours running around camp in a Mission Impossible game. (maybe Hazel should have gone, too - she probably won't sleep a wink, hearing people creeping around outside) Extra Camp Promise staff begin arriving on Saturday and our training begins on Sunday evening. Campers come on Tuesday after lunch! We love camp! Praying the printer speeds up and that we remember to do everything on our lists :)!!!
